Firefighters responded around 11:22 p.m. Saturday to a report of a fire at the Bert Mooney Airport in Butte-Silver Bow County.
The fire, in a garage at the airport, destroyed some de-icing trucks and other equipment.
Butte-Silver Bow Fire Marshal Kelly Lee said firefighters knocked down the blaze in about 40 minutes. There were no injuries, he said.
The cause was undetermined Sunday and remains under investigation. The building was damaged from sustained heat and will likely be determined to be dangerous, Lee said. Departments responding to the fire included Butte-Silver Bow and the Home Atherton and Racetrack volunteer fire departments.
