Description
The Boys and Girls Club of Glacier Country is holding a free day of fishing education, outdoor fun and food for Teach Them to Fish on June 14 at the Pine Grove Park in Evergreen.
Families and kids of all ages are welcome to attend a fun-filled day packed with a fishing education scavenger hunt, outdoor activities, and prizes. The free event is from 1-3 p.m.
Every participant will receive a goodie bag, and the first 100 kids (12 and under) to complete their scavenger hunt will be rewarded with free fishing gear.
Families can enjoy fishing at the park’s pond at no cost, bring their own rod, or if needed, equipment will be provided. Food and beverages will also be provided free of charge. In addition to the free activities, there will be a basket raffle with all proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Glacier Country and its year-round youth development programs.
“Teach Them to Fish is more than just a fun day at the park — it’s about creating opportunities for kids to experience the outdoors, learn new skills, and build lasting memories with their families," said Steven Crews, CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Glacier Country. "We believe experiences like this can spark a lifelong love for nature, family traditions, and self-confidence. We’re excited to welcome the whole community to celebrate Father’s Day Weekend with us!"
