Description

Authorities on Mother's Day were investigating the shooting deaths of four people at a Kalispell home.

Members of the Kalispell Police Department and Flathead County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene on Werner Trail in Silverbrook Estates on the north side of the city at 5:52 a.m. for a reported mental health concern.

Officers eventually entered a residence where they discovered four individuals had died from apparent gunshot wounds, according to information from Kalispell Police Chief Jordan Venezio. He said it appeared to be an isolated incident and there was no further public risk.

Few details were available Sunday evening and Venezio told the Inter Lake more information would be released Monday.

"Officers are beginning a lengthy investigation and there will be a police presence throughout the day," he said in a press release.

Kalispell's major crime unit trailer was at the property as detectives conducted the investigation in the suburban subdivision.
