Description
A Trout Creek woman was killed in a crash on a snowy Montana 200 near Noxon on Saturday, March 15.
The 72-year-old was a passenger in a Lincoln Town Car driven by a 73-year-old man from Trout Creek, according to a report from Montana Highway Patrol.
The vehicle was traveling west on the highway at 8:48 a.m. when the driver failed to negotiate a turn, slid off the road and hit a guard rail at mile marker 18. The car continued to slide sideways into a ditch, then rolled onto the driver's side as the top of the vehicle hit a tree.
The woman died at the scene of the crash and the driver was taken to Bonner General Hospital in Sandpoint, Idaho with injuries.
Speed is suspected as a factor in the crash, the report states.
