Description
Pull up a chair, switch the telly off, and settle in for the most comforting meal in the UK calendar: the Sunday roast. Chef Georgie Johnson—raised on Yorkshire puddings and corner-shop sweeties—invites you into our kitchen to re-create the flavors that bring British households together every week.
- Garden Salad – shaved fennel, crisp local micro-greens, and a bright English-style vinaigrette that wakes the palate.
- Honey-Baked Ham with Fresh Parsley Sauce & Mashed Potatoes
- Eton Mess – a jubilant tumble of crushed meringue, whipped cream, and seasonal berries that’s as fun to make as it is to eat.
Authenticity note: This traditional menu cannot be made gluten-free—but it is utterly British. Why Sunday Lunch? In Britain, Sunday lunch is more than a meal; it’s a weekly ritual where families linger at the table, swap stories, and argue (politely) over who gets the last roastie. Chef Georgie walks you through each dish’s history—think Victorian ham glazing tips and the Oxford origins of Eton Mess—so you leave with recipes and a slice of culinary culture.
Suggested Wine Pairings: to be updated shortly
*To purchase the wine pairing, please stop by The Wine Gallery. Let them know you are purchasing these wines for a LaCuisine class and receive special pricing. The Wine Gallery is open until 6:00PM, so either pick up earlier in the week or stop by on your way to class -- they are literally across the street.
**Please note our class policies at https://lacuisine-bozeman.com/pages/class-policies. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept cancellations. Our chefs have worked very hard to prepare for the evening's event and ingredients are purchased in advance. If you call to let us know about a conflict, La Cuisine may be able to help fill your seats.
